Our dipstick uses a rare-earth, high-strength neodymium magnet, rated specifically to function in high-temperature environments, ensuring the extraction of unwanted ferrous particles from your generator’s engine. The VOTEX dipstick magnet will operate in temperatures up to 302°F; this is higher than most standard magnets, which stop working at 175°F. Quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250°F but will start breaking down once it reaches 275°F. The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 and 230°F, so our magnet will work at temperatures far past that of engine oil.

Also, neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, and we use one of the strongest-grade versions available. Our magnet has the strength to hold weights over 2.2 lbs! This empowers our dipstick with enormous strength to effectively pull unwanted metals out of your motor oil, resulting in longer engine life.
