HIGH TEMPERATURE NEODYMIUM MAGNET - What makes our drain plug unique, outside of its flawless craftsmanship and top-notch materials, is what’s at the heart of it: a high-temperature neodymium magnet. Our plug uses a rare-earth, high-strength neodymium magnet, rated specifically to function in high-temperature environments, ensuring the extraction of unwanted ferrous particles from your vehicle’s engine. The VOTEX drain plug magnet will operate in temperatures up to 302°F; this is higher than most standard magnets which stop working at 175°F. A quality motor oil will tolerate oil temperatures up to 250°F but starts breaking down once it reaches 275°F. The operating temperature for engine oil is between 194 to 230°F, so our magnet will work in temperatures far past that of engine oil.
Also, neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available on the planet, and we use one of the strongest-grade versions available. Our magnet has the strength to hold weights over 2.2 lbs! This empowers our plug with enormous strength to effectively pull unwanted metals out of your motor oil, resulting in longer engine life. Loose metal debris in your engine oil will slowly cause wear on the internals of your engine. Our magnet will extract the small metal particles that are too fine for oil filters to catch. Oil filters are designed to catch particles larger than 35 microns. It will also capture larger metal shavings that plug oil filters.
PREMIUM STAINLESS STEEL - The drain plug market has a plethora of options that are constructed of aluminum. Aluminum is an inferior metal choice due to its inferior strength and will commonly shear or snap leaving you with a broken plug stuck in your oil pan. Aluminum has no place as the material for a drain plug. Our stainless steel is sourced from the States, promising not to be a weak, recycled material often found in foreign metals.

EASY TO INSTALL - Simply install our plug in place of your current drain plug. It will arrive with an aluminum crush washer, which is recommended to be replaced with every oil change. Simply wipe the magnet clean of debris during the oil change. USES 17MM WRENCH.

Inspect the magnet prior to installation to make sure there is no damage caused by improper handling during transit. When installing our drain plug, it is essential to make sure one consults their owner’s repair manual to obtain the proper torque specifications. Note: Check to make sure there is proper clearance for the drain plug, slowly turn over by hand the engine or drive gear, making sure there is no contact with internal components. Check your application for usage. Drain plug may differ from the factory OEM drain plug. Install plug at your discretion.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
